Saturday. Arrived on our ESTRUD1 class on time, and had our second quiz. This time I've accomplished faster than anyone in the class. I never let my focus lost to something worth bothering in my mind; good thing I reviewed my notes since a couple of days ago.

After class, I spent some time at NABS Internet Cafe, to amuse and distract myself [from those bothering thoughts]. Then I went to Raon to buy some electronic stuffs again -- wow, I found some 8-pin connectors at DEECO. (Me thinks of another evil plan for my G2.1u frankenstein...)

Around 4pm I went off to my ate's place, and finally had my meal for the day. I skipped breakfast and lunch. Then I traveled way back home, and instead of joining my Rtschrck bandmates at their inuman sessions at Mike5's place, I slept early to relax my mind.

Somehow I'll make it through; I just need more time...

It's nicer when you apply it on the phone itself. But I'll still be using my w300i (Yes, I have fixed it and it came back to life!); I won't be selling it yet since I made the skull wallpaper and Bebs downloaded the skull theme before. Yeah, I'm sentimental when it comes to my stuff.

7 months to go till my wedding day. I'll keep my fingers crossed till my negotiation with the catering, sounds, and wedding planner is a done deal. Blah! And no, the photographer at Robinson's Ermita was too expensive. I won't be spending 60,000 pesos on my photos and videos. I'd rather spend it on my food for the guests, dress, flowers, and especially my honeymoon. T_T

Tomorrow, we'll be relocating to a new office. Yey! But it's just a few steps away from my original desk. LOL. It's not an entire new location. But I'll be missing my desk - hopefully the new one who gets to sit on it won't make a mess out of it.

I downloaded lots of mp3 since last night... I mean dawn? XD~ I fell asleep around 4am, and woke up at noon.

Which reminds me, I would have to finish my mechanics for my events, and have it posted for promotion. I even emailed myself for reminders - plus adding it up to my task list in my new phone.

Work. Wedding. Bebs. and zero time for myself. Don't get me wrong, I'm good in giving advices - but I don't seem to apply it to myself. ~_~

Our trip to Laguna was postponed and rescheduled for next weekend. I promise myself to de-stress everything over the weekend.

School blues muna...

A few minutes akong late nung dumating sa ENGIGEO class namin, which was another ordinary reporting and quiz day. But this time hindi ako nakinig sa reporting; instead, nag-review aqo sa quiz (nagbasa ng napakaraming handouts). Hayun, mabilis kong natapos tuloy yung quiz!

Agad akong nagpunta ng library, kasama si Janna (maaga rin niya natapos ang quiz), and nag-research kami (for our report sa Tuesday) via wi-fi connection sa campus namin. Around 4pm na nung lumabas ako at nag-internet (at nag-Special Force) sa NABS.

Debut ni Hira

Medyo minalas paako sa biyahe, dahil imbes na Taft jeep ang nasakyan ko, napadpad pa ako ng Lawton. Around 7pm tuloy ako nakarating ng McDo Vito Cruz, pero a few minutes later nagsidatingan ang mga kabanda ko, along with 2 mor guests (mga kaklase ni coincibens). Agad na rin kaming nagtungo ng Burgundy Westbay tower, for the birthday party. (BTW, doon pala nagdo-dorm si onelast_sunset.)

Pagdating, naabutan namin si Peacegle, and nalaman kong hindi pala tuloy ang band nila.Then pag-akyat sa penthouse, wala pang tao (nagse-setup pa lang ang soundsystem at yung mga mesang hapag-kainan). Nagdesisyong bumili ng 2 grandeng Red Horse sina coincibens. Moments later, unti-unting nagdatingan ang mga bands. Then bumaba ako, at nakasalubong ko doon si Rainey. (I was excited to see her eh! Tumugtog din kasi 'yung banda nila.) Kasabay ng inom ay nag-review pa ako para sa quiz namin kinabukasan sa school.

Past 9pm na nung nag-start ang kainan and tugtugan; nagawa ko pang makipag-mingle sa HarakiriJiro and their manager. Share kami ng mga kwento, and chismax (LOLZ).

Past 12 midnight na kami nakatugtog, at medyo groggy na kaming magkakabanda; hindi rin maganda ang pakiramdam ko that time. Ayun tuloy, pangit ang naging performance namin -- sobrang kalat, maraming sabit, hindi kapit ang tunog. Worst gig na yata ng Nenerminator 'yun to date.

Agad na rin akong umuwi ng bahay (instead of staying there until morning). Very stressed talaga ako nun.

On behalf of Nenerminator, nagpapasalamat nga pala kami kay Hira para sa pag-imbita sa amin sa party.

TOP 10 GAMES TO LOOK FORWARD TO (REVISED)

These games, unlike the other ones have definite release dates arriving for them. At least EB Games says so.

10 - TOO HUMAN (XBOX 360)
Publisher: Silicon Knights
Genre: Action RPG
Release Date: August 9, 2008

Silicon Knights remade Metal Gear Solid for the Dream Cast and it was awesome. This game went into development hell for at least 8-9 years and it made it out pretty okay. I love the concept of Norse Gods playing into human lives and the humans who feel oppressed make it a vendetta to go up against the gods. That enough is willing to push me to test out this game, which is a month shy away from being released. If the graphics are enough to get me this game, I guess the story will.

Best Reason for Getting: After at least eight years of development, this should be alright.
Uncertainty Points: An FPS dressed in RPG clothing.
Looking Forward to: Blowing up shit at the very least.

9 - INFINITE UNDISCOVERY (XBOX 360)
Publisher: Square Enix Bulok
Genre: RPG
Release Date: September 2, 2008

Looking through Square Enix's line-up, if it ain't a Square remake, it's an Enix rehash. Aside from Last Remnant which will arrive next year, Infinite Undiscovery is a non-remake, non-rehash that will come out from this king of rehashes and remakes. I'm looking forward to it due to the fact that it'll be sort of different but in most ways similar to most of the tri-ace games. Cool? Let's move on.

Best Reason for Getting: "Original" Square Enix Game
Uncertainty Points: What the fuck is it about?
Looking forward to: Wasting 50+ hours on it.

8 - DISGAEA 3 (PS3)
Publisher: Nippon Ichi
Genre: Strategy RPG
Release Date: August 27, 2008

With Disgaea Hour of Darkness coming out on the DS, at least I can very well get started on this RPG. If ever I grab this baby, I'll probably be playing it by next year since I have to get through Disgaea on the DS. With a console that got me with - "we got the next generation of RPGs in our midst" - this game would most necessarily be the only thing that would pop into the system, not unless its other two "chronicles" games will make it under the Christmas tree this season. At least it'll look awesome.

Best Reason for Getting: It's Disgaea, it's another 9999+ levels of fun and comedy
Uncertainty Points: For a PS3 game, it sure looks like a PS2 one.
Looking Forward to: Adding another game on my PS3 rack

7 - SOUL CALIBUR IV (Multi)
Publisher: Namco
Genre: Fighting
Release Date: July 27, 2008

Being missing from the series since Soul Edge. (Wow Vince, you're so old!) I loved Soul Calibur in the arcades and Soul Calibur 2 when given the chance to play it. Now that I'm into the next-gen gaming unlike the PS2 days, I guess it's back to the fray for me! Soul Calibur IV is coming and they said this might be an end to an era. (Other games said so) Usually the 4th games are either groundbreaking or cooler than the rest, usually they're good (RE4, GTA4, MGS4, Final Fantasy IV to say the least - hopefully Persona 4 ^_^).

Best Reason for Getting: Special Editions come with 2 Shirts!
Uncertainty Points: Like GTA4, I'll keep the swag, but I'll return everything else.
Looking Forward to: Undressing Breaking Seung Mina's rack armor.

6 - SILENT HILL V (Multi)
Publisher: Konami
Genre: Survival Horror
Release Date: 4th Quarter 2008

With most Survival Horror becoming action, it's really rare to find a survival horror that remains one. Silent Hill hasn't let me down yet. As one of the games that's making "next-gen" look cool, I would totally get into this baby as fast as I can. I look forward to the creepy montages, the creepy corridors and of course fighting creepy creatures I can't even describe.

Best Reason for Getting: It's one of the few Survival Horrors that survived the Action Evolution.
Uncertainty Points: Like the other Silent Hills, it might become ho-hum.
Looking Forward to: Lead Pipe on a baby's face.

5 - VALKYRIA CHRONICLES (PS3)
Publisher: Sega
Genre: Strategy RPG
Release Date: 4th Quarter 2008

I wasn't too much of a Sega guy for the longest time. Everyone else I know is a big Sega fan but as for me, aside from the few Virtua Fighters and Daytonas, I wasn't so much into the Hedgehog. However after seeing the video clips of Valkyria Chronicles, the artwork was so very Final Fantasy Tactics, it got the blood boiling. Learning that it's also on the *gasp* PS3, I really can't pass it up. Knowing that it's a historical fantasy where its few competitions (SMT- Devil Summoner, Operation Darkness) not being that great, I could prolly see that this game will stand above the rest.

Best Reason for Getting: A REAL RPG for the PS3
Uncertainty Points: It might be like Operation Darkness and that's not a good thing.
Looking Forward to: Playing in FFTactics like animation all day long.

4 - LITTLEBIGPLANET (PS3)
Publisher: Sony
Genre: Platformer
Release Date: October 2008

With a few games coming out on the PS3, this game I'm looking forward to just for being a tad bit unconventional like the rest. Plus like flOw, Patapon, and other Sony shit, this looks like it's been made under the influence of LSD, Ecstacy and Tiesto in that order. It looks crazy, and it looks awesome. With so little to compare it to plus with so little choices in the pretty black system, this is one of the few games to grab this holiday season.

Best Reason for Getting: It looks so fucking awesome.
Uncertainty Points: I really can't think of any.
Looking Forward to: Taking LSD, Ecstacy and cranking out Tiesto while playing it.

3 - FABLE 2 (XBOX 360)
Publisher: Microsoft Game Studios
Genre: Action RPG
Release Date: 4th Quarter 2008

Hearing a lot about the first Fable, I played it and I was blown away. This time, Fable 2 is coming out, it has to come out this year, I'm expecting nothing less than a next-generation version of the first game. I'm not really looking for anything new, I just want the same old thing with better graphics and better mechanics. Just make it so fucking cool. And an interactive hot coffee mod making the game Adults Only.

Best Reason for Getting: Fable 1 was so fucking awesome, let's hope this one's just as fucking awesome
Uncertainty Points: It might turn into the Sims halfway
Looking Forward to: Sex and Fishing.

2 - WHITE KNIGHT CHRONICLES (PS3)
Publisher: Level-5
Genre: Action RPG
Release Date: 4th Quarter 2008 (until end of Fiscal Year so up to March 2009)

After seeing the movie for this one, I was blown away. Fantasy. Sentai. PS3. Awesome combination. With Level-5 games being so unbelievably an awesome developer, except for Professor Layton (I WILL NEVER DO MATH IN EXCHANGE FOR CUTE MIYAZAKI LIKE ANIME CUT SCENES!) it's an excellent reason for picking up a PS3. And of course, sorry to reiterate but PS3 could really use some games! This one will definitely do since it's one of my biggest picks at the start of the year. Whether it arrives on 4th Quarter or early next year, it's one cool thing to play after I'm done with...

Uncertainty Points: Delayed until further notice, and knowing Sony...

ATLUS SENT ME A NEWSLETTER! AND IT'S TRUE! BELIEVE NON-BELIEVERS! PERSONA 4 IS AT HAND!

Need I say anything else? This year is the year of PERSONA! If there's another reason to still crank out your PS2, this is I believe its last hurrah.

Best Reason for Getting: DUDE. Do I need to tell you?
Uncertainty Points: Atlus' 2008 track record. (Baroque-ken, Operation Dorkness, and Dildo of Swords)
Looking Forward to: Persona in the country-side!

After the shoot, we went to Market Market to eat lunch and went home before 4PM. :)

Pagkauwi ko ng bahay, nagpuyat ako para tapusin ang DIY project ko, na recently ko lang tinuloy. And heto, natapos ko na rin ang prototype triple momentary switch para sa Zoom G2.1u ko.

And now my G2.1u is stuffed with switches.

i was assigned last tuesday at the intensive care unit. we have three patients in the early morning but one was already transferred to the ward around 10:00. so we have two patients left. one suffered from vehicular accident and the other one has liver cirrhosis.

as a student nurse, i am the one whos getting the vital signs of the patient. i have observed that the L.C. pt.'s blood pressure is too low, like 50/20-60/30. the family of the patient came to icu one by one whispering something in his ear, crying. and that's when i am sure that the client is dying.. then a priest came to perform the anointing of the sick.

around 12pm, the client's cardiac rate began to be unstable and suddenly, completely gone. then came the action:

"CPR! CPR! hold the ambobag, induce air, ako mag-ccpr!", said the staff nurse to me.


i was there, watching someone die. i was actually there. my gosh.

as we were trying to revive the patient, one nurse went out to call the doctor and the other one administering emergency drugs to the patient.
then the doctor came and so the family of the patient.

"papa! papa! wag niyo pa kaming iwan!"
"kuyaaaa! kuyaaaaa!"
all of them were crying out loud. i thought those kinds of situation only occur sa mga filipino movies, but then i have witnessed it live. no scripts. no director. no camera man.

exactly 12:36, the doctor declared the client is dead.
we stopped the CPR, the family continued crying.


it came to me that there is none such thing as timely death. most of the time, it will come when its least expected. so don't waste time, show those who are dear to you, you love them. because there might be no next-time.

i actually did not expect that i can go through that. eh ayaw ko nga ng mga ganun diba? ayaw ko naman talagang maging nurse. pero ganun pala. whether you like it or not, pag nandun ka na sa sitwasyon, you can't do anything but to do your part, do your best, be strong and have presence of mind.
buhay ang hawak ng isang nurse. yun ang kinatatakutan ko. i'm afraid of big responsibilities such as that.

hayyy. basta ako, (Lord,) Your will be done.

Oh well, mukhang bokya ako sa EPRECON quiz namin, dahil na-mental block ako sa dami ng formulas, at sa mga tricky questions. Oh well, nagpuyat pa naman ako kaka-review nung madaling araw. Pagkatapos ng quiz e tinamaan na talaga ako ng matinding antok sa school.

Earlier, nakapasok naman ako on time for my ESURVEY class; pagkatapos nun ay agad akong kumain ng early lunch, and nagtungo ng library para mag-review pa ulit (para doon nga sa quiz).

Then medyo nakapag-participate naman ako sa ECECTV1 and ESTHEL2 classes namin, thanks sa isang bagong brand ng kendi na nabili ko sa bangketa. (Edit ko itong post mamaya, ipo-post ko yung picture.)

Bale Php2.50 ang presyo ng isa, tapos "energy candy" daw siya. Lasang peppermint (tama ba) yung candy, and yes medyo effective siya 'di lang pantanggal ng antok, pati na rin sa gutom... Makabili pa nga ulit...

After school, dumaan ako sa ate ko para makapag-dinner, then dumerecho na ako ng uwi ng bahay. At dahil pasado 11pm na ako nakauwi, 'di ko naabutan ang overseas phone call ng dad ko; kaya mukhang bad shot na naman ako.
